Our friends at Standard Wax are releasing a new scent! Grapefruit Mint reminds us so much of our Spring Seasonal, Grapefruit Fleur de Sel, we just had to make a cocktail inspired by it before our season is over.
You'll find us sipping on this cocktail until our bottles of Grapefruit Fleur de Sel run dry. We are grateful that Standard Wax will have this candle available to remind us of the best time of year in Arizona; citrus season.
THE STANDARD MARG
- 2 oz. Tequila
- 1 oz. Grapefruit Fleur de Sel
- 1/4 oz. Lime Juice
- 1 egg white (optional)
- Mint Garnish
-Combine all in a shaker and vigorously dry shake (meaning without ice) for a solid 10-15 seconds. This will allow the egg to aerate to create a velvety smooth texture.
-Add ice and shake again. (This is referred to as a double shake) *you can omit the egg white if that isn't your thing. Simply combine all and shake well with ice*
-Fill a rocks glass with fresh ice (we are obviously using our repurposed Standard Wax vessel) and garnish with a handful of fresh mint.
