Single Barrel Bundle

Single Barrel Bundle

In 2017, Fred Noe set out to create the truest expression of the world’s best rye whiskey. By choosing select barrels from the top and bottom shelves of the Knob Creek racking room and bottling each barrel separately, he has done just that. Each barrel, and thereby each bottle, is unique and not like any other whiskey. A true expression of the art that is rye whiskey.

Taking inspiration from Fred Noe, members from Arizona Boozethusiast Society (AzBzS) and Liquor Express picked their own private barrel of Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Rye. Wanting to take it one step further they reached out to local cocktail experts AZ Bitters Lab and Iconic Cocktail to collaborate and create two cocktails that truly highlight this one-of-a-kind elixir and champion some of Arizona's finest spirit companions.

THE GOLDEN AGE

The Golden Age is a riff on the classic Brown Derby cocktail. Bright and robust with hints of spice and saline. This cocktail is a great way to enjoy the Spring season here in the Valley. We used our Grapefruit Fleur de Sel along with a splash of Spiced Honey and Orange Sunshine bitters to pay homage to this truly iconic cocktail.

-Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice

-Shake vigorously to combine

-Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass

-Garnish with a grapefruit twist

MOLE BARREL BLUES

Sounds kinda depressing but the name comes from the fact that this is a very limited release of Knob Creek Select and once it’s gone...you’ll without a doubt have the blues. Fiery Ginga Syrup plays perfectly with Spiced Honey to make a cocktail you’re sure to ache over once it’s all gone. You’ve been warned.

-Combine ingredients into a mixing glass with ice

-Stir to combine

-Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass

-Garnish with a lime wheel (Elephant Ear garnish optional)

Stop by Liquor Express in Tempe today and secure your Arizona own Single Barrel Bundle. You can pick up all these ingredients and a recipe card to recreate these cocktails. Supplies are limited and once the Creek runs dry on this pick, you will have to substitute with your favorite top shelf rye.

Cheers!
