We’re keeping it classy for our Halloween cocktail this season. Instead of using artificial dyes for bloody drink effects, our Iconic Cranberry Thyme is the perfect shade of red to celebrate Halloween without any mess and fake ingredients.
Cranberry Thyme is our Fall Seasonal made when cranberries are the freshest. Starting with a base of pomegranate, this mixer is similar to a classic grenadine with a festive twist. We juice fresh cranberries and steep thyme into the batch making this mixer savory and tart. Perfect for all the fall and winter occasions, just a splash of Cranberry Thyme is lovely in sparkling wine or water and any light or dark spirit.
For this recipe, we are using Caskwerk’s Tea Infused Gin that has notes of black tea and rich cardamom. To bring these flavors out, a simple sugar rim with cardamom and thyme is a perfect addition and a really cool way to garnish your festive cocktail.
We grabbed our hand blown glasses from local Arizona artist, Mike Butzine, and dressed this cocktail up to be dark and moody for Halloween.
Autumn Elixir
- 2oz Caskwerk’s Tea Infused Gin
- 1oz Iconic Cranberry Thyme
- 2oz Sparkling Water
Cardamom Thyme Sugar Rim
- 5 Cardamom pods
- 2 thyme sprigs
- 1 tablespoon White Sugar
-Make the Cardamom Thyme Sugar by crushing 5 cardamom pod into a bowl, removing the husks. Remove thyme from sprigs. Using a muddler, break down cardamom and thyme. Add Sugar.
-Lightly rim half of a glass with water or citrus wedge. Roll glass into the Cardamom Thyme Sugar.
-Add ice, sparkling water, gin, and Cranberry Thyme to the glass and stir gently to combine.
